Company Developments

Founded in 1972 by Mr Colin Richardson the early days of trading was focused mainly around the service of domestic electronic products, such as Television and Video. Business continued to prosper and Seme grew to respond to its customer's needs by supplying spare parts for the service of a wide range of domestic electronic products.

In October 1995 Seme Ltd invested heavily in a state of the art automated conveyor despatch system at the warehouse in Melton Mowbray, which enables Seme to have orders picked and packed, ready for despatch, on average, just 19 minutes after the orders were placed!

Orders placed for stock items before 5.00pm are despatched the same day

This re-investment into the company has continued over the years and has resulted in a top of the range Digital Networked Telephone System which enables efficient incoming call distribution and management. This continual self-analysis and development of its business systems has allowed the company to become one of the leading Service Spares Distributors within the UK.

In 2005, Nedis B.V. acquired an interest in Seme and there was a consequent name change to become Seme NEDIS Ltd.

In 2008, Seme NEDIS Ltd changed its trading title to NEDIS UK.
